The fact that she worked in the film industry for 6 years as a technician assisted in Melanie’s ability to capture and create beautiful images and to sell stories. Specialising in commercial, editorial, art, advertising and portrait photography, and with her understanding of how a film set works, she still shoots regularly on sets doing advertising and PR photography.
Photographing in black and white or colour, she also shoots regularly for House and Garden, Elle Decor, Men’s Health Magazine and others while her advertising clients include Motorola, Braun, Nikon amongst others.

Koos van der Lende is a leading South African landscape photographer who emigrated to the Netherlands with his Dutch parents in 1971.
